Sometimes the whimsy of a piece overwhelms me. Such was the case with this wonderful hand crafted brooch.

Just a vintage piece, this brooch probably was made in the 70s or 80s. It showcases two cheeky heads in profile inside little archways, perhaps they are puppets on a little stage? The heads are attached to the moonstone pendulum and when it swings back and forth the little players on the stage move back and forth. This wonderful piece is made in silver with some parts washed in gold, it is a bit hefty and thusly has a double pin stem to the reverse to help keep in in place. The brooch measures 38 mm long and 36 mm north to south at the widest point. The brooch is 9 mm thick including the pin stem. This piece has a wonderful makers mark on the back, but research didn’t yield a known maker. This brooch has been tested as silver and weighs 22.7 grams.
