This magnificent diamond cluster pendant was hand crafted around 1915 and exemplifies the style of the Edwardian Era, also known as The Belle Epoque. Compared to the Victorian period before, jewelry of the Edwardian Era was intricate and ornate. Newer techniques of openwork filigree and milgrain lent a lightness to opulent pieces and gave texture and brillance to the metal. Like in this splendid diamond pendant, platinum became preferred over gold.

There are a jaw-dropping 25 diamonds in this bold, yet delicate piece! The center diamond is 5.5 mm round and is about 0.60 carats. There are eight diamonds surrounding the center, each 3.5 mm round and 0.15 carats. Eight more rose cut diamonds are each 1.55 mm round, and the final eight, also rose cuts, are about 1 mm round. In total, there are about 2.0 carats in the pendant, all of them very lively! It weighs 3.0 grams.
