Amazing Edwardian Multi-Gem Long Guard Chain Necklace Antique Antiquaria

This is that one thing. That most fabulous of creatures, the one that gets modeled by all the ladies, it’s not in the case too often. It’s the dream jewel, worthy of red carpets and velvet ropes but oh, so approachable. Yup, it’s the one, the one we all want. The one we all want to be (wearing).

This fully hand made custom jewel was crafted in the early 20th Century, in Edwardian England, for a lady of means. It measures 58.5 inches long and every inch of it is set with gemstones. Each gem stone is lovingly bezel set with a custom mount and the full length is comprised of some 152 gemstones of all kinds of variety.

25 semi-baroque natural pearls.
4 rounded cabochon cut Moonstones (1.55 ct)
4 natural, oval shaped cabochon cut Corals (1.96 ct)
5 natural oval faceted Hessonite Garnets (3.29 ct)
3 old Mine Cut natural Diamonds (.99 ct)
3 natural oval faceted Pyrope Garnets (1.08 ct)
3 Cabochon cut Turquoise (1.69 ct)
1 Ruby (Burmese un-enhanced, Cushion) (.35 ct)
1 Sapphire (Burmese un-enhanced, oval) (.39 ct)
1 natural Cabochon Ruby (1.04 ct)
1 natural Oval Sapphire (.8 ct)
1 natural square emerald (.34 ct)

There are many, many more, including: 2 peridots, 5 demantoid garnets, 15 chrysoberyles, Amethyst, Quartz of various sizes and shapes and Purple hues, Pyrope and Almandine Garnets, Aquamarines, Rock Crystal, Quartz, Green Turquoise and Blue Turquoise, and others.

The chain is made of 9 karat gold and is stamped ‘9k’, it’s 58.8 inches long and in very good condition. It weighs 29.28 grams. Comes with a full appraisal, and a replacement value of $15,250.00
