These diamonds likely didn’t start off life in a ring, or if they did, it most certainly wasn’t this ring. This ring was hand crafted in the 1940s, and is set with 19 old European cut diamonds that were probably cut before 1880, I wonder how that came to be, did they come out of someones grandmother’s brooch, or Victorian bracelet? Were they just old diamonds, in a little sack, never set into anything? I guess we’ll never know. What we do know is that now these 19 diamonds are the stars of this show. They measure approximately 3x3x2 mm and weight approximately 2.10 carats in total weight, they are lively, bright and clean stones. The ring is done in 18 karat white gold, it isn’t marked but has been acid tested to verify content. The ring is 3.85 mm wide and sits 2.7 mm off the finger, it is a size 6.75 and weighs 4.8 grams.
