Hand crafted around 1950 in 18 white karat gold, these vintage beauties are each set with a cluster of diamonds centered with an old European round cut. There are 50 diamonds in all and the centers are about .45 carats together, the other 48 stones come in at about 2.5 carats total. The diamonds are set into 18 karat white gold mountings that are not marked but have been acid tested. The earrings measure 13.7 mm across the long way and are 16.4 mm from front to back and they weigh 9 grams. The posts are threaded with screw on backs to keep them from getting lost.
Bright and sparkly and certainly better than your run-of-the-mill studs, these fantastic earrings would transition from day to night as easily as they do from bluejeans to ballgowns!
