This Kate Greenaway brooch was handcrafted in Victorian England around 1890. It is crafted in 18 karat gold and features the motif of a boy whispering into a girl’s ear. A fence makes up the background while a cute cat and a woven basket sit near the couple’s feet. This brooch pin is decorated with two pearls and two rose cut diamonds. This piece measures 32.5 x 24 mm and it weighs 8.1 grams. It bears the gold purity mark, “18” and the maker’s mark, “AF”.
