After the somewhat heavier styles of the Victorian era, the Edwardians broke out of the 1800s and into a new Century and a new, lighter feeling and looking style. Sheer fabrics, light colors and in jewelry, a trend towards blue and white, towards bows and garlands, took over the fashion of the day.
This fantastic pendant was born into the Edwardian era, around 1910. Hand crafted in 9 karat gold and set with a pearl and two cabochon turquoise gems, this pendant epitomizes the Edwardian look with it’s bow top and light and airy lines. This piece measures 56 mm north to south and 19.7 mm across, it’s 2.3 grams. Marked to the reverse with ‘9ct’ for the gold content.
